Déclaration de l’ambassadrice de la France sur l’affaire Madiambal Diagne : Yassine Fall apporte la réplique
Dans un communiqué rendu public, ce lundi, le ministère de la Justice a vivement réagi aux propos tenus par l’ambassadrice de la France au Sénégal sur les ondes de la radio sénégalaise Internationale (RSI). Cette réponse intervient dans un contexte de coopération judiciaire entre les deux pays, marquée par une demande récente de la France visant à obtenir des informations déjà communiquées, selon les autorités sénégalaises, dans le cadre d’une affaire de corruption et de détournement de deniers publics impliquant deux ressortissants sénégalais réfugiés en France en l’occurrence Madiambal Diagne et Doro Gueye.
Yassine Fall précise que le ministère français de la Justice a adressé une sollicitation aux autorités judiciaires sénégalaises pour la transmission de données déjà versées au dossier et dûment communiquées par le magistrat en charge de la procédure. Par respect des accords de coopération judiciaire liant les deux États, indique le communiqué, « la justice sénégalaise s’emploiera à transmettre à nouveau les informations requises ».
Poursuivant, le ministère de la Justice du Sénégal affirme que cette démarche « ne saurait être interprétée comme des pressions exercées sur la justice française », mais constitue plutôt « l’exercice légitime par un État souverain du principe de réciprocité dans ses relations judiciaires internationales ».
Cependant, le communiqué exprime des réserves quant aux déclarations de l’Ambassadrice de France, qui, selon le ministère, « semble relativiser la gravité des faits de corruption et de détournement de deniers publics » reprochés aux deux ressortissants sénégalais. Une telle attitude jugée « regrettable » et « susceptible de remettre en cause les principes universels de bonne gouvernance et de transparence », peut être perçue comme une « forme d’ingérence dans une affaire que les autorités sénégalaises considèrent, à juste titre, comme d’une importance majeure », soutient Yassine Fall.
En somme, le ministère de la Justice réaffirme son attachement aux engagements internationaux du Sénégal, tout en soulignant l’importance de respecter la souveraineté et les intérêts de l’État sénégalais dans la gestion de ses affaires judiciaires.
À noter que le Sénégal, par la voix de son ministre de la justice, a annoncé la suspension des extraditions vers la France.
