À l’approche du Grand Magal de Touba, le porte-parole du Khalife général des mourides, Serigne Bassirou Abdou Khadre Mbacké, a livré un message au nom de Serigne Mountakha Bassirou Mbacké, appelant à plus de responsabilité, d’ordre et de discipline au sein de la ville sainte.
L’une des mesures phares annoncées concerne la circulation des charrettes dans la commune. Le Khalife, par la voix de son porte-parole, a formellement interdit leur conduite aux personnes âgées de moins de 18 ans.
« Vous devez travailler en étroite collaboration avec les forces de l’ordre pour mettre un terme à cette pratique », a lancé Serigne Bassirou Abdou Khadre Mbacké à l’endroit du maire de Touba.
Dans sa déclaration, le porte-parole a également rappelé un ensemble d’interdits en vigueur dans le périmètre sacré de Touba, invitant les fidèles à respecter scrupuleusement les règles qui régissent la ville fondée par Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba.
Il a, par ailleurs, insisté sur l’importance des travaux d’extension et de rénovation de la Grande Mosquée, exhortant la communauté à y participer activement. Il a retracé l’historique du lieu saint et évoqué la contribution des différents khalifes généraux qui se sont succédé dans l’édification et l’embellissement du sanctuaire mouride.
